User Journey – Security

The Javascript Security Monitor ensures the integrity of the JavaScript files in use on your web site and warns you of any behaviour that could indicate a possible hack.

Here’s everything you can do on this page!

1) Add JavaScript Security

The most simple process process on the JavaScript Security page, to get started (if you haven’t already) simply hit “ACTIVATE MONITOR” and the monitor will launch into a pending state. Once your next journey runs, your monitor will run and the page will populate.

2) View tracked files

Split into both passing and failing, the section display all your track files. If failing – These files will be highlighted in pink and brought to the top. If passing and no issues found these files will be displayed in a tidy list with the page/step they are on and the file size associated to them.

3) View all files

Here is a list of all the JavaScript files found in your journey’s HAR file. These, like the above and listed with step/page location and file size. Each file you’ll see either the “tracked” or “Not tracked” tag.

4) View and edit your whitelist

Hitting the “VIEW WHITELIST” button will bring you to your whitelist pop-up. From this screen you’ll be able to both edit and view the JavaScript elements you have currently whitelisted. To ignore/white list an element simply hit the “[+] IGNORE” button, to edit them hit the EDIT pencil and to delete use the respective Bin (DELETE) button.

5) Change journey settings

Located in the top right hand corner (Settings cog) – Journey settings gives you the option to change everything from the Journey Description and check interval through to the elements you blacklist and ignore.

6) View and create Alerts

Alerts are the core of the RapidSpike system, finding out what your issues are as soon as they happen is crucial so we’ve made it easier than ever to create, view and edit alerts. To view these your existing alerts or to add new ones simply hit the “ALERTS” tab at the top of the page. From this page you’ll be to add new Alert Rules by hitting “ALERT SETTINGS>” as well as view the existing rules associated to this monitor below.
