Trialling our Software

How do I get a free trial?

Just fill in the quote form or enter your details on our Request a Demo page.

Our friendly sales team will get back to you to organise your trial account and demo. Once the trial is set up you’ll have 14 days with access to all our features.

What happens at the end of the trial?

At the end of your trial, you’ll be asked to subscribe for the year based on the credits you need. We have numerous ways of paying for your plan and spreading the cost out.

What do I get in the trial?

The free trial includes access to all of our great tools, including performance, security, reliability, user journeys and Magecart (on request). We do not restrict access to any of the dashboards so you will get a complete picture of our final product.

Trialling RapidSpike is totally free, and you’re under no obligation to continue with a full account once the trial is over.

Plans & Credits

Is there a minimum term on your paid plans?

All our paid plans have no minimum term – you can cancel at any time. However to access discounts you need to be on an annual plan.

Do I have to pick a specific plan?

You just need your base RapidSpike License to get started which comes with 250 free credits to get you started. Our credit plans are completely customisable to you. Use what features you need.

How do I know what features to use?

Our team are here to help! During your trial we can discuss your requirements and recommend the best plan for your business.

How do credits work?

All plans come with a quantity of monitoring credits. You can purchase additional credits for your account at any time. Monitoring credits are used to power your monitors each month, and the credit costs vary depending on:

  • How powerful and data-rich the monitor is
  • How frequently you run the monitor
  • The number of test locations/regions used

You can also purchase additional alert credits, which are required in order to receive notifications on your mobile phone via SMS and automated voice calls to any number.

RapidSpike Platform

Do I need to install software on my server?

No. RapidSpike operates entirely on the cloud – our testing works like a visitor to your app/site. This is how we’re able to give you a good idea of how your site behaves when visited by a ‘real’ user or customer.

The only exceptions are Real User Monitoring, which requires adding a short snippet of Javascript to your website header HTML code, and Connect Anything.

Connect Anything enables you to send data to RapidSpike to record in dashboards and use our alerting. It can be used to track server performance, disk space, load – pretty much anything.

Will I receive a lot of alerts?

The sensitivity of your monitoring is configurable. Don’t want to see an alert for the smallest down-time/blip? Set your notifications to only alert you if the site is down for 5 minutes or more.

To prevent false-positives, our system also automatically and immediately retests any failing monitor from another node in our network. This way we can be confident when we alert you that your site is definitely having problems.

For advanced monitors, we also have a setting to only alert if we have seen a problem occur multiple times in a row.

User Journeys

Can I have a User Journey Running from “X City/Country”?

Almost certainly, we have the ability to access most regions across the world. The architecture of the RapidSpike system means we can set up a new server instance within a very short time. Just speak to our friendly team to find out more about what we can offer.

How frequently can you run my User Journey?

As often as is necessary. User Journeys can be individually configured to run at set intervals and from multiple regions: this is entirely bespoke and up to you.

Do I need to create the Journey files myself?

This is up to you. Our Self-Service Journeys can be written and managed entirely by you and your team. You have the option of writing your own multi-step Journey scripts, and handling the frequency of the Journey and what regions it runs from.

Alternatively, we offer a Managed User Journey Service, where our development team will write the journey script for you, saving you from having to worry about any complex code. Your journey is then fully managed through our system, with help and support just a phone call or email away.
